A century old landmark, this seafood restaurant was a fine shanty in its own right,  known for its chowder, quintessential New England decor, and the fun banter between fishermen and families who dined here throughout its 102 years in business.

Sadly, they filed for bankruptcy in 2019.

With walls adorned by wooden relief sculptures and art prints of adventures on the sea, this was a welcoming establishment where you could find nothing fancy but everything fresh.

Located on Boston’s fish pier with views of the harbor, the space is remembered for its open environment, with no-frills community table seating and hearty meals of catches from the sea cooked and served to satisfy.

There’s a quaint bar area, where you could belly up for either a quieter meal alone, or more personal conversations than those that happened at the tables suited for groups of patrons anywhere from 2 to 20 or more.

Synonymous with the Red Sox and Bunker Hill, this dining location has been visited by celebrities and promoted on numerous media venues.

On February 27th, 2020 at 11:00 am, we held an auction of what many considered one of the most beloved seafood spots in Boston, the No Name restaurant.

The auction took place on location at 15 1/2 Fish Pier Street East, Boston, MA 02210

The elements available at auction, either as a package or separately, were the following:

  • The trademark business name and any other trade names and trademarks associated with it.
  • The lease for the space
  • The furniture, fixtures, and equipment
  • Sizeable outdoor parking area
  • A 1 AM beer, wine, & cordial license
